United Methodist Women

The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

United Methodist Women meet each month from September til May, rotating business one month and program the other. We begin at 10:30 am and enjoy a wonderful pot luck salad luncheon afterwards.  Meetings are held in member’s homes or at church.

We currently have a Christian Crafting Circle that creates crafts for our  pumpkin patch booth and we also have a reading circle that meets periodically and discusses books they have read.  Through creative fund raisers like Bingo and the Pumpkin Patch, we support local and global ministries like the Boys and Girls Club of America, the Achievement Center for Children & Families, Aid to Victims of Domestic Violence, Banyan Creek Elementary School and the
Tuje Ministry in Africa.

We do service projects and drives and provide special event receptions such as funerals and musical events throughout the year.  We grow in faith and service as we serve and advocate for women, children and youth.

We encourage all women to join the finest and largest Christian Women’s group in the world.
