In Person Worship Guidelines

In accordance with CDC and The Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church, it is finally time to begin moving toward community again. We have developed the following guidelines to allow us together in corporate worship, while still doing everything possible to minimize the risk of spreading COVID-19.

The CDC recommends that the “at risk” population (65 years of age or older, auto-immune issues, any lung complications, etc.) avoid crowds and stay home if possible.  If you do not feel safe coming to the church at this time, you can participate online Facebook or our website.

Thank you in advance for your full (and joyful!) cooperation in this season. We are all very excited to finally be together again and see how God continues to bring glory to Himself as He works all things for good for those who love Him!

1. Wear a face mask! This is mandatory. We cannot let anyone inside to worship without one.
2. Use only two entrances. Entrances are located at the north and south ramp doors. Follow signs.
3. Have your temperature taken. A volunteer will meet you before you enter the church to check your temperature.
4. Be greeted by an usher. The usher will give you a card, reminder list of guidelines, and a squirt of hand sanitizer.
5. Enter the Sanctuary by the 2 side aisles. The ushers will guide you. Please sit the furthest place toward the center aisle and take note of our handicapped and late comer seating.
6. Sit in designated pews. Pews that are available will be labeled with signage to indicate seating to maintain a 6’ social distance. Families and couples who arrive together may sit together.
7. Fill out the tracer card. As soon as you sit down, please fill out the card with your name and phone #.  At the end of our worship experience, when the ushers dismiss your row, you may place this card and your offering in the plates as you exit the Sanctuary.
8. Remain seated.
9. Exit using the side aisle, directed by an usher. Maintain 6’ distance when leaving.
1. Use the center aisle.
2. Walk around the Sanctuary. Please do not go to the chancel to greet the choir or band before or after the worship experience. Please wait until you are in the parking lot to greet your friends.
3. Use physical contact (such as hand shaking, hugging etc.). Our Pastor will not be available to greet you in the Narthex before or after our worship experiences. Please feel welcome to contact her via text or email.
4. Drink coffee or eat refreshments. No food or beverages are permitted. (Exception – water bottles if absolutely needed)
5. Stand and sing.
Because we love to be together at Cason, we know that physical and social distancing is a challenge! However, if we remember how important each person is in our midst, it will make it easier to follow these rules. If you see that the north side parking lot is filling up, please consider parking on the south side and using the south entrance to ensure social distancing.
