Fall Festival 2018 was an enormous success due to the hard work of our wonderful team of Cason volunteers who gave of their time and talents through all phases of the event.  In addition, we would like to thank the student volunteers from Palm Beach Atlantic, American Heritage, and FSU who spent their Saturday in service to their community, as well as our community volunteers including Slash Fitness who helped with setup and Face Book advertising.
The weekend of events kicked off Friday with a hayride and a showing of the movie, “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown”.  Attendees enjoyed free popcorn and apple cider hosted by Cason’s Ignite Student Ministries.
The festival itself, was open Saturday and Sunday and included a Rock-climbing Wall, a bounce house, an obstacle course, a petting zoo, carnival games, prizes, relay races, a Candy Land inspired toddler obstacle course, and a cake walk like no other.  People come for the rides but stay for the cakewalk.  This years line up  featured a police K-9 demonstration, a Delray Beach Fire Truck in addition to a costume parade and contest.
Plenty of carnival inspired foods, including our now infamous pulled pork sandwiches and funnel cakes, delighted the palates of many and added to the whole homespun experience.
A great big THANK YOU to all our wonderful Vendors and generous Sponsors within our own Church community as well as Boardwalk Ice Cream, and Delray Beach Upholstery for your in-kind contributions to this great showing of community outreach.  Proceeds are being used to upgrade our children and youth wing to utilize it to provide afterschool programs in partnership with other nonprofits in our community.
Dates for this year’s event will be announced in the next few weeks!!  Be watching for the exciting additions to our line up as well as ways you can get involved!!!
