Visiting a church for the first time can be a little daunting. Where do I go? Where do my kids go? Is it safe? What will the music be like? What is the teaching like? What will people be wearing? Will it be weird? Am I wasting my time only to find out that this is just not the right fit for me? These are all valid questions to ask when looking for a new church. Here is a brief run-down of what to expect at Cason.
Our Worship Services
When you arrive at Cason, there are greeters who can answer many basic questions. You will notice a pretty easy-going environment where people are dressed casually. You are welcome to wear a suit and tie if that’s what you are used to, but you may be the only one dressed up that much! If you arrive early, you’ll have no problem getting a seat of your choice. If you arrive a little late and the room looks full, don’t worry . . . we’ll help direct you to an open spot.
Our Sunday worship service is blended, so you'll see traditional elements, like our chancel and bell choirs as well as our praise band and singers. You'll hear new songs plus some favorite hymns; you'll see original videos and stories of lives changed and biblical and relevant messages by Pastor Alexis. And before and after every service there's a chance to meet and chat with like-minded Christians and other guests.
Our new Saturday evening worship is a contemporary service, complete with our own worship band, Covenant. The music is high energy, mostly rock and roll and also some fresh takes on old hymns. But more than just entertainment, our music is part of the way in which we prepare our hearts and minds to hear the word and to respond to that word. All in all, the atmosphere is casual, reflective, and open to all.
