What to Expect
Visiting a church for the first time can be a little daunting. Where do I go? Where do my kids go? Is it safe? What will the music be like? What is the teaching like? What will people be wearing? Will it be weird? Am I wasting my time only to find out that this is just not the right fit for me? These are all valid questions to ask when looking for a new church. Here is a brief run-down of what to expect at Cason.
Our Worship Services
When you arrive at Cason, there are greeters who can answer many basic questions. You will notice a pretty easy-going environment where people are dressed casually. You are welcome to wear a suit and tie if that’s what you are used to, but you may be the only one dressed up that much! If you arrive early, you’ll have no problem getting a seat of your choice. If you arrive a little late and the room looks full, don’t worry . . . we’ll help direct you to an open spot. We have coffee and donuts in the fellowship hall every Sunday between services and after the 10:30 service allowing you a chance to meet and chat with like-minded Christians and other guests.
9:15 Kickstart Modern Worship Service
“Kickstart” your morning with a unique, multi-media worship experience. This 45 minute service features dynamic faith-based learning, testimony and our very own Praise Band “Covenant.” Our music is part of the way in which we prepare our hearts and minds to hear the word and to respond to that word. The service has a unique flavor to it featuring contemporary Christian music, informal attire and powerful messages from some of today’s most renowned Christian speakers. All in all, the atmosphere is casual, reflective, and open to all.
11:00 Traditional Worship Service
The traditional worship service at Cason is an experience of inspirational preaching and joyous sacred music accompanied by piano and organ and highlighted by our chancel choir. Escape into a peaceful, beautiful sanctuary allowing your relationship with God to be your focus in a service that makes time-honored traditions of the past relevant for today. Expect a powerful blend of Biblical teaching, classic hymns of faith, inspiring praise music and a friendly environment.
We make visiting Cason a family friendly experience. If you have an infant to 3 year old child, we offer a nursery staffed by child care professionals during both worship services and during the 10:00 Sunday School / Small Group hour between services allowing you time for small group participation or fellowship. If you have children 3 - 12 years old, they can participate in our fun (and safe!) children's ministry during each service and during the Sunday School / Small group hour. Children attend the beginning of the regular church service, and are then dismissed to Children's Church following the prayer. Ignite Student Ministry at Cason is open to anyone in grades 6 - 12. The youth typically attend the Traditional worship service, and can usually be found in the balcony.
