From the
Pastor

In November
we will complete the Giving Birth to
Character Sermon Series:
Nov.
1-Receive The Gift of Limits
(Mark 1:29-34)
Nov. 8-Embrace Grief and Loss
(Psalm 51:1-17)
Nov. 15-Make Jesus Your Model
for Loving Well (John 4:1-26)
COMING NOV 22
STEWARDSHIP SUNDAY
You will be
receiving a letter next week. Like last
year, our Stewardship Campaign is low
key. My message to you is a simple one:
What you give is between you and
God. I challenge you to give
a percentage of your income to the
ministries of the church
faithfully--regularly -- as a way of showing
your gratitude to God for God's provision.
If you have been giving 5%, consider moving
to 6%. If God is asking you to tithe - to
give 10% - I encourage you to say "yes".
The
leadership of the church is committed to
using your tithes and offerings for ministry
with wisdom and trustworthiness. Our only
source of income is the generosity of her
members. And we appreciate whatever you
do. Trust God to provide - He will.
That is the
message. Told you it was simple.
So, put Nov 22 on your calendar and join
us for Stewardship Sunday, for lunch, and
for an amazing, joyous celebration of the
ministries of Cason and the blessings of
God.
And, as
always, I LOVE being your pastor,
Rev. Linda K. Mobley
Pastor, Cason United
Methodist Church
